LIBRA

The Sun moves into Libra for his once a year visit and along with Venus (relationships), Mercury (communications), and Mars (action), also all in your sign it is a great time to try and understand how your emotions effect your relationships.

SCORPIO

Your feelings are intense this week, (what’s new you may think) and it takes this for you to realise the strength of your feelings for a significant other. You may need a little time to absorb the effects of this.

SAGITTARIUS

‘Footloose and fancy free’ is how you want to be this week so any demands made on you by others will not go down well. Of course you are only too willing to help as long as this help is voluntarily given.

CAPRICORN

A build up of pressure may be experienced this week as it is assumed you will take on the responsibilities of others. This may well limit your freedom but forces you to set some realistic limits.

AQUARIUS

You may feel stymied this week by past experiences or feel forced to defer to someone either someone older or in a position of authority who have their eyes focused firmly in the past. Self discipline required.

PISCES

Lack of motivation has you day dreaming, listening to music and generally unwilling to deal with cold, hard reality. Nothing wrong with taking time out but meditation, tai chi can provide some structure.

ARIES

Indecisiveness may see you miss an opportunity early in the week but then you are not feeling particularly assertive anyway. Take a long, hard, objective look at your life to see what it really is. Body image strong.

TAURUS

The Venus, Pluto connection can heighten the sexual satisfaction you feel from your partner so take advantage of this and set a romantic scene, which encourages a sharing of those inner needs.

GEMINI

Mercury goes retrograde on the 24th and will remain that way till 15th October so you only have today to tie up any loose ends, that has the cheques being sent, the bills paid and signing on the dotted line. Make those phone calls now.

CANCER

You’re over the top reactions have people running for cover at the start of the week, but hell you’re allowed to over react just like the rest of us. Once you calm down you are able to put things into perspective.

LEO

The Sun’s movement into your solar third house is a time of year when the tempo of your life seems to increase. There is a lot more moving around and life may seem like it is being spent in the car.

VIRGO

Mercury’s retrograde motion in your solar second house for the next month gives you some much needed space in which to reflect and review your current financial situation and plan for some improvements.

THE ASTROLOGICAL URANUS

Uranus is the first of the Higher Octave or Generational planets, discovered in 1781 who is the first God in Greek myth that engenders the universe. A sky –god belonging to the air and sky, he is a god of ideas, and flies on the wing of thought. This is sometimes called the Divine Mind in esoteric circles fertilizing creative thought with spirit.

We note his footsteps in history whenever a new creative idea erupts in the collective. Around the time of the discovery of Uranus (between the American Revolution and the French Revolution) the idea of democracy and the freedom of the individual was a powerful force that changed democracy. Ideas erupt from the collective and seize the minds of a people and attempts at repression cannot stop it. The idea of Uranus places consciousness and freedom of will above inheritance and ties of blood.

As I have written previously Saturn in a horoscope is associated with form, boundary and structure whereas the Generational planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto in this respect have a ‘de-structuring principle’ that opposes what Saturn stands for. These ‘outer planets’ each in their own way break us down so that we can break through to a new way of being.

Natally the Uranian impulse can be one of rebellion arising from a personal need to be independent and to break with convention or tradition; to throw off the shackles, and reborn, being unencumbered by old patterns.

Wherever Uranus is transiting in our horoscope we become discontented (as he spends approx 7 years in each sign known as the 7 year itch) or restless with the affairs of the house or sphere of life affected by Uranus. We want to disrupt or revamp that area of our life so it is a time to be curious and experimentive. We either consciously choose to make these changes or at other times they seemed to be forced on us by external events.
