Your Business

Stop and look around …

Get your head out of the sand, get off the treadmill and enjoy life

Recently I have had cause to reflect on the ‘busyness’ and fast pace of our lives and it is my observation that many people are running around doing ‘stuff’ but are not really enjoying life.

In fact they are only ‘surviving’ by going through the motions of daily life and all that it entails.

How sad - don't you think? After all, life is so short (although in my case, God willing, I will live way past 100 and be in great health. OK … I may have to pick up a few spare parts along the way :-) What about you?

Do you take the time to reflect on the important issues of life, living, relationships, spirituality etc, or are you frantically just trying to keep up with making a living that you are so frazzled that you don't have time or the inclination to consider these matters at all ... never mind deeply.

I would like to encourage you to stop living life way below the level that you were created to live it.

Yes, you are going to have to take some risks and face some rejection and perhaps even fail a few times. That's ok, because most successful people have failed their way to success.

That's right, they have just been tenacious and learned the lessons that need to be learned and then they pick themselves up and keep going.

Yes YOU choose to be a VICTOR or a VICTIM.

VICTORS play above the line and take Ownership, Accountability and Responsibility. VICTORS have healthy businesses and profitable bottom lines.

Whereas

VICTIMS play below the line and Blame, Excuse, Deny. VICTIMS often bemoan how life and business ‘suck’ and are generally not profitable.

What will you choose?

The good thing is that your past does not have to determine your future - the choice is up to you.

So get up get going and put a spring in your step and show some (positive) attitude and spunk and set about creating the life you want.

That's right, decide to get off the treadmill and live life on your terms. After all it is my experience that life will pay us what we expect. If we expect little we will receive little.

Yet if we dare to believe BIG, to believe we can achieve what we conceive, THEN we will be able to do so.

Of course, it is not a matter of saying some magic words.

You will need to expend effort, energy, time and money as you pursue your dreams in life.

And as you enjoy the journey you will come to realise you would not want it any other way.

Finally, in putting in time and effort to any particular project one does need to exercise discernment and wisdom since working harder is not the formula to achieving your dreams.

What are you saying?

That's right - it's not about working harder....

It's about finding a vehicle that will provide you with true leverage and a sustainable residual result (or income).

That way you can position yourself so that you have BOTH the TIME and MONEY to do those things; support those causes; make those choices that are important to you and your loved ones.

Is it worth the effort?

I think so ... what about you?

Yet remember not all (business) vehicles are the same despite appearances.

Imagine you had the opportunity to race in the Melbourne Cup.

If you had a thoroughbred ‘donkey’ it will always be a donkey no matter how hard you flog it.  So it is with businesses. Some are like the donkey in the Melbourne Cup – they have no chance of winning.

In that case you need to change ‘horses’ to successfully go after your dreams and goals.

PS: Paul, I hear you say, ...OK, I get it, but what sort of ‘resources’ would you recommend?

Step 1: Read and re-read; The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson and start putting the principle of the slight edge to work for you today.

Step 2: Consider starting a business that you can be passionate about. Of course, you will need to have sufficient capital and money to keep you going for at least 6 months while you get going.

Step 3:  If traditional business or a franchise is outside of your budget (or perhaps you are just tired of the hassles of a traditional business and want freedom, time and money leverage) then CAREFULLY consider the network marketing or MLM industry. There are many fine companies in this industry yet there are many, many factors that will determine whether you are successful or not, including your self-belief, willingness to actually WORK consistently, and the particular company you choose to represent and the compensation plan they offer. Of course. there are also some duds in this industry (like there are in any industry, so you do need to check things out).

PPS:  For my part I am currently personally working with the No. 1 network marketer in the world on a program that enables us to enjoy 5-star travel and EARN residual income. I am looking for 12 leaders and if you think you have what it takes watch the short video and let’s talk ASAP, particularly if you have Asian and/or Indian contacts here and overseas. http://www.mytraveldeals.gttrends.tv
